Okay people! I found a new brand that doesn’t test on animals. Physicians Formula. I don’t even know why I wasn’t aware of it’s existence before, they sell at Walmart and probably to some drugstores. So the price is a LITTLE BIT higher than regular products, and it’s obvious since testing on animals costs less money to companies. If you can’t always afford more expensive brands as NARS for exemple, this one is a good in between.
Here, you can see all the products: http://www.physiciansformula.com , but you can only order from US. If you don’t find any stores near you, I’m pretty sure you can find products on amazon! (for Canada, you have some of their products on well.ca)
It’s no surprise that one of the hardest things in life could be to stick to our own self made schedule. Of course, because if you are late for work, or simply skip a task, who will give you a hard time since your not an employee, right? Well, here’s the truth. Sticking to a schedule is EVEN MORE critical when you are self-employed. Your job, future and autonomy depends on it. So here are few simple tips:
1. Write a list of 5 tasks per day maximum.
You could be really ambitious for one day and wish to do like 20 things, but is it reasonable? I mean, we always need to calculate the relation between what we want right now and what we can do and get right now. Sure, some days you’ll have to have maybe 6 or 7 tasks to do as an exception, but at the beginning, sticking to 5 is the best to practice your brain to understand that you can actually achieve it in one day and it’s not overwhelming. Then you’ll be trained enough to add some, but the best is to stick to 5.
2. Set hours on every task.
I used to just write a whole list of tasks and plan to get it done by the end of the day…But nothing really happened, except the short things to do. I then realized than I, as most people, needed a ultimatum to move my… butt. I scheduled strict hours to every task and HAD to do it on time because it would just mess up the next one. Plus, it’s more fun like that, it’s like a challenge.
3. Scare yourself a little bit.
I often read and hear that you must never be hard on yourself and love yourself. Well, of course you most love yourself! You know what I can assure you? Is that if you see somebody that you love so much mess up their lives by not being organized or effective, you are with no doubt going to shake things up in their head the most you can! Know that if you don’t stick to what you have to do daily to succeed in anything, no one else will do it for you. Know that it is now or never. Yes, life’s beautiful and no need to be rushed, but no need to run away from life’s responsibilities neither. Know that the first step is always the hardest and it can also be the most exciting one (it actually is). But most importantly, when you want to give up, talk to yourself and tell yourself that no, you are NOT a lazy person, you are not a loser… You are a winner who don’t give up.
I hoped this helped you, because it definitely changed my perspective towards my daily schedule.
